I did it! I ran my race. And it was awesome! My goal was to run it in an hour and 15 minutes. I beat my goal by three minutes (1:12:10, according to the picture Lish got), which also set a personal record for me. I haven't run for that long at that speed. It was great!
AND I got in 3rd place in my age group! Yes, I placed and I medal-ed. And I got a t-shirt and a bag. And I finished. I finished my goal. I did it. And I'm still walking!
I would like to thank my legs and my heart, my shoes and my socks, my watch and my heart monitor, and of course, my husband. :)
It's been a good day!

Best Friends
At my place of employment, we have a breakroom in the back. This is where I eat my lunch. A coworker of mine and I usually eat together. She watches her "Food Network" channel, and I sit and read my book and we make little comments to each other every now and then. It's a good time. I enjoy her company.
Yesterday, a commercial came on with a family. The father was doing the "superman" (You know, with the father lying on his back with his feet in the air holding up his son with his feet? You know.) with his son. I laughed when I saw it and said, "Lish does that to me sometimes too!" I also told her that when I get home from work or if I'm in a bad mood, Lish will usually always "dip" me. I LOVE the dip! It makes me laugh every time because it is so much fun. She looked at me and said, "It sounds like you guys have a fun relationship."I started thinking about it, and it's true. Lish and I do have a fun relationship. We love spending time together. We are each others' best friends. There isn't anyone else I would rather hang out with more than my husband, and I am so happy to say that. So Lish, thanks for all the good times and the laughs! I'm excited to have so many more with you!

Superbowl and Valentine's Celebrations
So, I accidentally left my camera at our friends' house, so I couldn't upload my pictures until a few days ago, and then I got lazy. I know it happens to you too. Anyway, so I have some pictures from the superbowl party that we went to last week, and from our Valentine's Day celebration.
First off, the superbowl. I was happy with how it went this year. I would have been happy with either team winning, but I am happy for the Saints. We had some delicious food and some great company, and it wasn't even at our house, so I didn't have to clean! We celebrated V-day yesterday. (Lish called it the "Mormon Valentine's Day.") We went bowling, went out to a nice dinner, and then got some DQ Blizzards. We followed it up with watching the Slam Dunk contest. I wasn't too impressed. But the rest of the day was fantastic. Of course, I only took pictures during bowling, so you, readers, will only have those to enjoy.
Lish won two games, that's why he's holding up those two fingers. I didn't post the picture of the other score, because it's just too embarrassing. At least I started strong! (Lish was Poopface, I was Stinker. We sure know how to be romantic.)
Happy Valentine's Day everybody!
